Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Fire Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire safety systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in system design, electrical and mechanical knowledge, and construction processes within a dynamic environment. The Fire Engineer will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed fire safety system designs using CAD software, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications.
Create and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and layouts for fire protection systems.
Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and determine appropriate system modifications or installations.
Collaborate with construction teams to oversee installation processes, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and electrical experience to assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of fire protection systems to guarantee optimal performance.
Provide technical support during project phases, including system upgrades or modifications.
Maintain detailed documentation of all design processes, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes.
Skills
Strong background in system design with proficiency in CAD software.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to fire protection equipment and installation techniques.
Experience working with schematics, technical drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams.
Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly and installation tasks.
Electrical experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting and system integration.
Knowledge of construction processes related to fire safety systems installation.
Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards.
