Location: Burnley/Blackburn area
Hours: annualised hours contract
48 hours per week worked from April – September, 32 hours worked October - March

What We Do
We provide a fully client-based, serviced approach to property investment. Our model involves acquiring properties from the open market, renovating them to a set standard, passing them to our lettings department for management, and reselling them to investors.
All functions are carried out in-house — from Property Surveying and Renovations to Lettings, Legal, and Sales & Marketing.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Roofer to join our team at UK PG. This role is essential for the inspection, repair and/or replacement of the roof structures (including gutters, facias and soffits) to ensure they are structurally sound, weatherproof and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. The role will ensure our properties are protected against water ingress, improve the thermal efficiency and provide a durable, safe and aesthetically suitable roof covering.
The ideal candidate must conduct their activities safely at all times with minimal disruption to our tenants, in accordance with agreed specifications and industry best practice.
Based in the North West, you will play a vital role in supporting our property management operations.
The role requirements are:
To prepare site-specific risk assessments & method statements (RAMS).
Compliance with Health & Safety requirements and work safely at height.
Compliance with relevant British Standards, PCA Codes of Practice, and manufacturer’s guidance.
To assess existing roof structure and rainwater goods, identify defects, recommend and carry-out corrective action.
Identify and document potential hazards (Asbestos Containing Materials, fragile structures, overhead cables).
Replace or repair damaged structural elements ie rafters, trusses, fascia boards, soffits, and verge timbers.
Establishing safe means of access
Gutter cleaning
Repair & replacement of rainwater goods
Replacing broken, missing or slipped slates
Install/replace lead flashings or alternative proprietary flashings
Ridge and verge repairs (dry & mortar bedded)
Weatherproof abutments and chimneys.
Installing new flat roof systems
Install breathable roofing underlay and treated roofing battens correctly
Rooflight or skylight installation.
Maintain clean, safe, and tidy work areas. Ensuring any waste is disposed of the Duty of Care.
Use Arthur (Sell UK CRM system) for recording completed works in line with the work order protocol.
